LaVentana, baja california sur, Mexico is located about 30 miles south of LaPaz on the sea of Cortez.     To get to here some drive the 1000 mile baja road.    Those are the ones that are here for many weeks and months.    

For those who have not hit that stage of life yet; you get to fly and stay in a motel/hotel.     And we are here to serve you.

To fly here there are two major airports LaPaz (LAP) and Cabo San Lucas (CSL).  In general most fly into Cabo and  rent a car and drive here.  From Cabo it is about a 2 hour drive.     There are buses and private vans that people also arrive with.    many of the details can be found at www.la-ventana.info website under travel by air.  

To fly to Cabo most airlines fly there.
To fly to LaPaz generally people use alaska airlines.   There is a Volaris flight that people use from TJ.   Southwest has an agreement with Volaris.

we offer kitesurfing lessons with a top rated kiteboard school, kitemasters.     We can put a complete package together for you where they can use our jetski while teaching you.      They are walking distance from our resort.  

Weather

in general the day time weather in the winter is about 70-80 degrees F.    the water temp can hit as low as 70 degrees F.    Night time can be cool with it hitting as low as 50 but normal is about 65, so bring a jacket..
